FAA Rules

The proliferation of drones has started. As users become proficient at using drones to create businesses and generate cash flow the law will lag. New problems will arise related to liability, performance standards for the product delivered, FAA entanglement as drones continue to encroach into national airspace, etc. For those developing products the intellectual property issues will remain the same and perhaps new areas will arise that are not currently contemplated.

New drone processes and combining technologies such as batteries – motors – electronics – stability algorithms and the like are all worth protecting as intellectual property.

You can view the full list of rules at the FAA website https://www.faa.gov/uas/.

Drone Design Guide

This design guide is a compilation of basic information to determine drone power and size. Determining the payload is the starting point for designing a drone. Since I wrote this myself you are agreeing to use at your own risk.
